Upsizing..
Upsizing..
The rudders are being shipped out as I type. The second set of bunk lids have been “shot” and Now.. Its liners, decks and hulls in the glass shop.
Liner mold coming out from its covers. To be honest, Tom was uncovering it and I snapped the “epic shot”! But it was blurry, so I had him hold still and I shot it again. So its kinda’ semi posed. He’s growling “Take the %$%^& shot laready.”
But this one ain’t! Gel coat going on this AM.
I got off my lazy behind and finished up the aluminum bits. These are the top and bottom load spreading plates for the compression post. We have them laser cut out of 3/8 plate. We drill the holes out to size that are to be tapped (and tap them) then bevel the edges. Next they’ll be dropped off at the powder coating shop for their finish.
Last tray of bunk lids ready to de-mold and trim. I’m betting they leave them in the mold ‘till about July or so.
There’s not a lot of pictures to show ‘cause most of them are of rudders being shaped and sanded and we’ve all seen enough rudders being shaped and sanded to last quite awhile.
Here’s a rudder wrapped up for shipping. It was shipped off to Maryland yesterday. And, there’s another sitting on the floor along with a foot rest waiting for me to haul it to the shippers to head out to Kentucky as soon as I finish writing this.
